“James” is a stunning black on red beauty. He has been pampered: driven on convertible-friendly days, handwashed, and lovingly maintained. He has the stiff suspension, responsive steering, and snappy acceleration that draws us to BMW sports cars. Everything works perfectly: His hard-top convertible goes up and down just as when he rolled off the line. He is one of those cars that makes heads turn. He has been a blast. However, two shoulder surgeries and an ankle boot in the past 8 months remind me that I won’t always be able to revel in driving James. I hope to find him a new home where he can be a joy ride.
